Product purpose
Morning sickness is a common symptom of pregnancy, characterised by nausea and vomiting. Despite its name, it can occur at any time of the day or night. It typically begins around the sixth week of pregnancy and often subsides by the end of the first trimester.
The exact cause isn’t fully understood, but it’s believed to be related to the rapid increase in hormones such as human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and oestrogen during early pregnancy.
For most, morning sickness is unpleasant but manageable with lifestyle changes, such as eating small, frequent meals, avoiding foods and smells that trigger nausea, and staying hydrated.
These acupressure wristbands can help reduce symptoms of morning sickness. Similar to acupuncture, the wristbands apply pressure to the *Nei-Kuan point, which is believed to be effective in alleviating nausea related to pregnancy and other conditions.
*The Nei-Kuan point is located approximately three finger breadths below the wrist on the inner forearm, between the two tendons.
