Hoopsy: Eco Pregnancy test

When you are pregnant, your body produces hCG, a glycoprotein hormone produced by the developing placenta once your egg has been fertilised. hCG levels rise rapidly, doubling every 48 to 72 hours, and often exceed 100 mIU/mL by your first missed menstrual period. The presence of hCG in urine soon after conception, and its rapid increase during early pregnancy, make it an excellent marker for early pregnancy detection.

The Hoopsy Eco Pregnancy Test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay that detects hCG in your urine to determine if you are pregnant. This test provides a reliable and eco-friendly way to confirm your pregnancy.

How to test

• The test should be used at room temperature (15-30°C). 

• Open the sealed pouch by tearing along the notch. Remove the test from the pouch and use it as soon as possible. 

• Hold the end with the Hoopsy logo and put the other end of the test in your urine stream for 6 to 10 seconds (or dip into a cup of collected urine), being careful not to wee over the MAX line. For the most accurate results test using your first urine of the day.

•  Place the test on a clean, dry and flat surface with the printed side up.

• Wait 5 to 10 minutes to read the result, the time can vary depending on how diluted your urine is. 

Avoid the following when testing; 

1. Pointing the test urine tip down 

2. Holding the test in your urine stream for less than 6 seconds or over the MAX line

The Results: 

POSITIVE: Two pink lines appear, one line may be lighter than the other (if you are unsure if you can see 2 lines try holding the test at arm’s length). The test is positive and has detected the hCG pregnancy hormone in a concentration of 25mIU/mL or more, therefore you are pregnant. 

NEGATIVE: One pink line appears. The test is negative and no hCG has been detected therefore you are not pregnant. However, if after seven days you still do not get your period, you should retest with a new test. 

INVALID: No line appears, or only one line on the end nearest the max line text. The test is invalid. Take another test to find out your result.
 

Hoopsy’s pregnancy test is over 99% accuracy (same as Clearblue etc when used on the day that your period is due) and has been approved for sale by the EU medical authorities (CE)
 

STORAGE AND STABILITY 

The Hoopsy Eco Pregnancy Test is stable for 24- 36 months at 2- 30C. The test must be used within 1 hour after opening the pouch. The test kit should be kept away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat. The expiration dating was established under these storage conditions
 

TO DISPOSE OF YOUR POUCH, TEST STRIP & BOX Pouch

This is a soft plastic and can be recycled at store collection points. 

Cut the test at the scissors mark and throw the piece with the Hoopsy logo in the paper recycling, the other end goes in the bin.
